Our Coding Afternoon

Room 27 had a coding afternoon on Friday. We learnt how to programme different characters to move in different directions. These are some of our first attempts.

Word Endings

David noticed that come and coming started the same. We talked about word endings and how we add 'ed' 'ing' and 's' onto works to change how we use them. 

He practised changing the ending of come and wrote a new story with his new word- coming. 

Yr One- David's story: The driver is coming. 

Learning new words in Reading

David and Izzah were reading a story called Bugs for Breakfast and had trouble reading the word "have." 

We used magnetic letters to make this word, then we had to slide our finger under it and read it six times. Then we got to use the giant blackboard to write our new word from our memory!
